DIY Bilik Pengantin

DIY bilik pengantin

Oh,skema nya ayatku.hoho.
Ok, set ni dibeli dari Cavenzi.
Saya tak rekemen langsung Cavenzi ni.
Diorang beli and order dari showroom Cavenzi and then pihak Cavenzi hantar ke rumah.
Sampai pun lambat and tak sempat nak mintak tukar semula so guna je lah.
Memang kesian la dapat barang tak setimpal ngan harge kita bayar kan.

Ok.beralih ke bilik pengantin ni.
Saya suka design yang modern and ala-ala bilik hotel, hehe.
So,hias la simple-simple.
Cadar kakak beli Aussino yang tengah sale.
Kalo uols nak membeli cadar, beli lah masa sale. Baru la berbaloi baloi.
Cadar putih je sebab boleh guna pakai.
Putih ni senang nak masuk dengan apa-apa warna pun.
Paling penting untuk bilik pengantin ni, jangan lah guna cadar zaman dulu-dulu tu yang meriah bagai tu.
Azab uols!

Tolong jangan ikut contoh dibawah ni.
(Ampun tuan gambar!)

Tapi ikutlah contoh yang kat bawah ni.

Macam ni lah yang kita nak!

Mari kita lihat bilik pengantin kakak saya pula.

Overall view

View senget.
Apakah?

Side view

(Ampun kakak!haha)

Rose petals!

KERJAGILASIMOLL photography

KERJAGILASIMOLL photography

This is one of my favorite wedding photographers.
Gambar-gambar diorang ni suci-suci je.
Nanti bila saya kahwin, ada jugak pasang niat nak hire diorang :))
Diorang ni baru juga bertapak di dunia wedding photograhy ni tapi work and hasil diorang macam dah lama & pro je.

Tengoklah sendiri work diorang kat entry ni

Kalo tak mengaku, makna nya anda tipu!haha.
Saya yang biasa-biasa ni pun nak nampak hawt nanti masa BIG DAY saya, hehe.
(blushing2,hihi)
(Kalau tak, tak sepadan pulak nanti dan jadilah kes Beauty & the Beast, haha)

(tapi diorang ni masa biasa pun lawa-lawa jugak rasa nya :)) )

So sweet!

Suci je kan

Romantis

Cantik & flawless
Ayu & suci je
Cantik sangat!
(bagi bride-to-be yang DIY)
Betul tak?

Sila lihat di bawah ini pula.

DIY Dais

DIY pelamin/dais for my eldest sister, Maryam way back in 2010.
The theme was red, black & white.

The budget was below RM100.
The total cost was only RM80+ which was spent mostly on the fabrics.

Front view

Damask background

Do you guys remember that during this period the popular dais designs all used the damask as the background.
Hence, why I chose to use the damask for the background. :D
Especially since the fabric was only around RM20 per meter.

The stage and the frame we borrowed from our neighbor, lol.
The carpet, pillow, large vase and red dried flowers were already available at home so I used whatever I could grab around the house. My sister was a very budget bride-to-be and she just wanted a simple dais as a background for taking photos only.
No merenjis-renjis in our family! :)

Even the chair I used an existing chair we already had but haven't used for a long time.
I had simply painted the wooden frame of the chair with white paint that was available and reupholstered with black damask fabric.
I couldn't spend a lot of time for the dais as I had a LOT of other things to do.
Imagine I had to clean a whole 6 bedroom house by my own not to mention sewing the curtains, makeover the bridal room, etc, etc. Even the whole house we painted ourselves, haha.
Macam saya pulak pengantin nya kan, haha.

My late supermom was not well during that time and I forced her to rest and not do any work.
I wish I had more time to plan and execute the dais better but oh well, it wasn't my wedding.haha.

The most important lesson of all to brides out there (including little old me):

- Take time to prepare and gather your ideas.

- You should have some kind of idea what you want for your wedding. After all, this is your big day.

- Plan early! Start out with deciding your theme and what type of wedding you want.

- After deciding the theme, find and gather ideas of what you want your wedding to be like.
(Your wedding dress, dais, hantarans, deco, etc)

- Once you have an overall idea and design, research and plan how you are going to execute them.
(The easiest way is by hiring vendors and only ensure that they can execute your vision well within your budget)

- If you're going to DIY, plan and start early,as early as possible. You will not have enough time to execute and do everything within the few remaining days before your wedding.

* Do not be indecisive, once you decide on something, stick to it!

I learnt a lot from helping my sister plan her wedding.
Hopefully my own DIY wedding will turn out great! InsyaAllah.
I'm planning to design and DIY all my wedding dresses, veil and scarves.
Me & Mr. W are also planning to make our own dais, deco, photobooth and etc by ourselves.
We are both from design backgrounds so why not kan.
Especially since he is great with his hands!
He can make furniture and he even helped his father built their own house! I'll share the pictures one day :))
I'm not bragging just extremely proud of his talent :)

Even though the dais did not turn well as I had hoped for, it was still great for taking pictures.
My sister and parents were happy so that what counts. :)

Teacher

Last night I dreamed that I was teaching.
Before doing my postgraduate studies, I was a Science, Math and Life Skills teacher at an International school in KL.
Pelik kan belajar design tinggi2, tapi mengajar Science & Math pulak, haha.

Sebenarnya, saya ada experience mengajar tuisyen English, Math & Science semasa belajar degree (kerja part-time la kiranya) so, dapat la jadi teacher kat sekolah tu.

My students were a unique bunch and from different backgrounds.
Some were Koreans, Nigerians, Pakistanis,  some from Iran, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and so on. It was an interesting experience. :)

Mimpi tu mungkin jugak sebab rindu kat budak2 tu,huhu. Atau pun sebab rindu nak mengajar.haha. Tett..
Tapi bukan semua la, rindu yang baik2 and sweet2 je, yang nakal2, perangai azab tu tak kuasa nak rindu, haha.
Jahat!

This picture actually shows what I do during Primary 3 Math class.
(of course la tak guna kapur macam tu, guna marker kot, huhu)

Kadang2 teringat jugak kat budak2 tu.

Anniversary idea.

Cute & adorable sangat kan!

The cutest Idea Ever. Take a photo with your beloved every year on your anniversary day - see how you’ve grown together!

This is like the cutest and most romantic anniversary day idea ever!

Every year, you take a photo with your hubby on your anniversary day.

You can then see how much you've grown  older together each year.

Lepas tu, dah tua..boleh la tunjuk kat anak cucu.
So sweet!hehe

My collection: The simplicity of arabesque geometric motifs

This about my collection: The simplicity of arabesque geometric motifs

My inspiration was the arabesque geometric motifs.

Actually, there are two kinds of arabesque motifs which are floral motifs and also geometric motifs. I chose the geometric motifs because I like its lines and shapes.

 arabesque floral motif

This is my first design. A two-piece garment which consist of a jacket and a cocktail dress.
We actually had a photo shoot for our designs. It was all arranged by the great En. Faizal Hamid. (He's our lecturer and also a fashion writer, designer, consultant, etc).
So,this is the outcome...

Design 1

Design 1 close up

The model was Deanna Ibrahim. She was very nice and friendly. She's also very tall.
There's a picture of the designer (me) and model but malu la nak tunjuk.
From that picture, you could obviously see the difference in height, lol.

Diorang baik2 & ramah tamah. Tak kekwat pun.

Photographer nya pulak Faysal Hasyim dari Yeeipun Photograhy.
Diorang ni memang fashion photographer. So, hasil kitorang pun meletops la uols, hehe.
Padahal design saya biasa2 je. Design kawan2 saya yang meletop kebaboomm. :D

Polka dot chic

Oh, dress ini sangat gorgeous!

Love the color combination of pink & grey and also the polka dots.

Content

Cadangan content blog ini adalah:

1. Hal kehidupan saya.
2. Hal pelajaran. (tu pun masuk hal kehidupan kan?)
3. Hal love life saya. (ehem,ko budget ko 'retis'??)
4. Hal business saya. (sikit2 jela.banyak2 bosan pulak kan)
5. Perkongsian idea dan pendapat. (yang ni paling banyak la)

Oh!terasa begitu skema membuat list bagai camni.

Pasal Master kat Fakulti Art & Design pun takde apa yang keluar. Harap2 apa yang saya kongsi nanti dapat la membantu and memberi info kat sesiapa.

3. Bf saya muda 2 tahun dari saya. Kakak and abang ipar dia sebaya saya, haha. Awkward jugak disitu, haha. Banyak jugak cabaran nya.

Tapi nasib baik saya ni awet muda, haha. Perah santan di situ!

Still, sampai sekarang I suka blog walking and terjah blog sana sini especially blog2 yang famous macam Hanis Zalikha, Aishah Amin, Jejari Runcing and also blog2 B2B. Blog2 B2B pulak start masa kakak sulung nak kawen,I tolong2 dia buat preparation especially sebab masa tu arwah mak sakit. Sekarang pun still suka tengok2 blog B2B, suka tengok2 preparation, ideas and benda2 cantik.

P/S: Saya suka rojak2.
